Overview

Relay ("the Service") processes log data on behalf of its customers. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not require a name, company name, or phone number.

When you use the Service, we collect standard server access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, response code). These logs are retained for 30 days and used for operational monitoring and abuse prevention.

We use a single, first-party cookie to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

Log data you send through Relay

Relay processes log data that you transmit through the Service and forwards it to the destinations you configure. We do not inspect, mine, or sell your log data. Log data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher. Log data at rest (buffered for retry) is encrypted with AES-256.

Buffered log data is automatically deleted after successful delivery or after 72 hours, whichever comes first.

Sub-processors

We use the following sub-processors to operate the Service:

Cloud infrastructure is provided by Amazon Web Services (compute, storage, networking) and Google Cloud Platform (select regions). Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Transactional email is sent through Postmark.

Data retention

Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account plus 30 days after deletion. Server access logs are retained for 30 days. Buffered log data is retained for a maximum of 72 hours.

Your rights

You may export or delete your account data at any time from the dashboard under Settings. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, port, and erase your personal data under the GDPR.

Changes to this policy

We will post updates to this page and note the revision date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect.
