Frequently asked questions
What counts toward my daily ingestion limit?
Every log event sent to the Ingestion API is measured by its uncompressed JSON body size. Metadata added by Relay (timestamps, pipeline IDs) does not count toward your limit.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are billed a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next cycle.
What happens if I exceed my daily limit?
On the Dev plan, additional events are dropped. On Pro and Scale, overage is billed at $0.50 per additional GB. You can set a hard cap in your pipeline configuration to prevent unexpected charges.
Is there a self-hosted option?
Not at this time. Relay is a managed service. If you have strict data residency requirements, the Scale plan supports region-locked pipelines in 12 regions.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing is available for Pro and Scale plans at a 15% discount. Reach out through the dashboard to switch.
